Resilience Workshop: Riding the Rapids So You Can Thrive

Riding the Rapids aims to put the paddle firmly in the hands of the students and guides them to developing their own resilience framework.  This workshop is serious fun as the students draw from their own experiences to learn more about what emotions really mean and how they can meet challenges head on and, as a result, go onto thrive.

Duration:  2 hours

Number of Participants:  32

Purpose:  To assist students recognise their own resilience and build unique frameworks to further enhance the capacity to bounce back and thrive.

Outcomes:  At the end of the workshop, students will have:

  1. Increased their understanding of the role of emotions and how to process them;
  2. Explored and defined resilience;
  3. Benchmarked their current levels of resilience; and
  4. Created a resilience model which they can use in the face of future challenges.

Mojo Mobilisation:  How to Increase Your Happiness Set Point

Mojo Mobilisation can be the impetus for student to truly understand what happiness really is and where it comes from.  Each of us has a “happiness set point”.  Our level of happiness can be impacted by life events from time to time, but then it almost always returns to its baseline level.  The good news is we can increase our happiness set point so we can experience greater levels of happiness more often!

In a world where anxiety, depression and mental illness is on the rise, this information and experience is of paramount importance for young people.

This is vital life information as happiness is a key precursor of life success.  

This powerful workshop unpacks the mystery of happiness and exposes students to the habits they can start to incorporate to get their mojo mobilised and increase their happiness set point.

Duration:  2.5 hours

Number of Participants:  Unlimited.

Purpose:  To assist students increase their happiness set point and therefore, be less susceptible to mental illness.

Outcomes:  After completing the workshop, students will have:

  1. an increased awareness about what mojo (happiness) is, where it lives, and how to connect with it;
  2. an increased awareness of their happiness habits;
  3. an increased understanding and experience of  staying connected with happiness;
  4. developed a simple approach to mobilise their mojos and keep it in motion.
